General System Settings
This section describes general system settings. To view these settings:
• From the printer Main Menu, select Settings
> System Settings >
General.
• From the printer web
page, click the Configure tab,

General System Settings
Setting Description Default
System Name Sets the network identification
name (WINS name) of the printer.
Printer model
number and serial
number. For
example,
PC43-000000011.
System Location Sets the location of the printer. Empty string
System Contact Sets the name of the printer
administrator.

XML Response Mode Determines if the printer provides
XML responses to printing requests
(over Telnet and HTTP).

Display Language (LCD printers only) Selects the
language the printer uses to display
text on the screen.

Selects the language the printer uses
to display text on the web page.

Keyboard Input Selects the language of the external
keyboard that is connected to the
printer.

Time Sets the current time. System time
AM/PM Sets AM or PM. AM
Date Sets the current date. System date
Sleep Timer Selects the amount of time the
printer waits before it goes to Sleep
mode.
Disable
Command Language Sets the printer command language.
If changed, requires restart.
