6110 Hand-Held Computer User’s Guide 1-15

Serial Pod

The serial pod provides a standard 9-pin serial port on a

standard D-sub connector. As a software configuration op-

tion, +5 volts of power can be provided on pin 9 (the Ring

pin). This option powers external devices such as tethered

scanners.
